We are pleased to announce that Jill S. Bollwerk is joining our distinguished panel of arbitrators and mediators.
Jill Bollwerk began her law career representing injured individuals in automobile and premises liability litigation, workers' compensation matters and in Social Security Disability appeals for two prominent St. Louis plaintiff's firms. She then worked as a trial attorney for USF&G insurance defending injury claims and workers’ compensation cases.
She next worked for a construction litigation firm before she started her own firm in 2000, Jill S. Bollwerk, LLC, wherein she dedicated her career to representing injured individuals. The firm has evolved and is now Bollwerk & Tatlow, LLC. With her partner, Phil Tatlow, she currently handles accident and injury cases, workers’ compensation cases, long term disability claims under ERISA and accidental death claims.
Her family: A lifelong resident of St. Louis, Jill resides with her husband in South St. Louis County. She has two grown children of whom she is very proud and a new son-in-law, but she sure misses her years serving as a Scout leader and coach for several of her children’s sports teams.
Her love of music: Jill is a free spirit and has performing in her DNA, with a son who is a performer in New York City and a brother who is an accomplished musician. In the early 90s, Jill had the opportunity to meet The Ramones and Mick Jones from The Clash/Big Audio Dynamite backstage at a concert. She even got a signed album cover from Mick Jones and for one evening considered herself an “unauthorized groupie” for two of the biggest punk rock bands that ever lived.
Her key to success: Jill’s top priority is to keep her clients well-informed and she believes the key to her success is working harder than her opponent.
