Meet the Newest Member of our ADR Panel: Ed Clausen

ADR Intro Hero

We are pleased to announce that Ed Clausen is joining our distinguished panel of mediators, based out of Jefferson City, Missouri.

Ed Clausen graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1984 and its School of Law in 1987. He is a shareholder in Newman, Comley & Ruth P.C., a law firm with 10 practicing attorneys in Jefferson City, MO. Ed’s current practice emphasis is defending hospitals and health care professionals in medical legal matters including malpractice claims and licensing issues, family law and business litigation. He has tried approximately 60 jury trials for the Plaintiff and defense and hundreds of family law cases over his career. He is a member of the Family Law Section of the Missouri Bar, Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, Defense Research Institute and is a former president of the Cole County Bar Association. He serves as a Disciplinary Hearing Officer appointed by the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Court of Missouri and was appointed by the Court to the Advisory Committee in 2016. He completed mediation training at the University of Missouri School of Law in 2017 and is Rule 17 qualified.

We sat down with Ed and learned a little bit about the man outside the courtroom. Ed’s favorite place to visit is Eleven Point River in Southern Missouri, where he’s been fishing and floating with the same group of friends for the past 34 years. His proudest accomplishment is raising his daughter and two sons and seeing what they have achieved.

When asked if he has a hobby of collecting anything, Ed’s response was full of wisdom. “I collect friends. A good way to measure your wealth is by your friends – the people you can count on.”

We are thrilled that Ed has joined our team at Alaris ADR. If you’d like to work with him, please contact us at ADR@alaris.us.
